Regular attendance is essential for student success and required for earning credit at Entrada.
Each teacher will provide a class disclosure outlining expectations, including this attendance policy. Please review it carefully.
✅ Attendance Requirements
Each class consists of 8 total class days, with 2 hours of instruction per day.
To receive credit, you must attend at least 7 out of 8 days.
Simply being in the room is not enough—you must be actively engaged in the class and on-task.
🚫 Phones & Distractions
Phones must be out of sight and not in use during class.
Earbuds/headphones may not be worn unless specifically directed by your teacher.
Disruptive or distracted behavior (including phone use) may result in being marked absent for the day.
🕒 Tardies & Absences
Arriving more than 10 minutes late—at the beginning of class, after the break, or totaling 10+ minutes across both—counts as an absence.
Arriving less than 10 minutes late counts as a tardy.
2 tardies = 1 absence
📌 No Excused Absences
- Entrada does not excuse absences, regardless of the reason.
- There is no need to call the office to report an absence—we do not record excused or unexcused.
🎓 Earning Credit
You can earn 0.25 credits for each successfully completed class.
If you attend all 8 class days and complete an extra assignment, you may qualify for double credit (0.50) for that class.
